I remember the first time I launched my lead generation system back in 2006.

I had just finished reading a book written by my mentor on how Attraction Marketing worked.

And back then, building a following and a brand on social media wasn’t really an option.

There was MySpace, but it was mostly spam and for teenagers.

If you wanted to build an audience, it had to be by building an email list using a system that is still my #1 way to build my audience today…

And if you wanted to grow that audience using this system, you had 2 choices: run ads or do article marketing.

The idea was that interested prospects who are already in the business opportunity niche would see the ad…

Then give you their name, email & phone number in exchange for more valuable info you were offering on how to be successful…

And then you can follow up with them via phone or email later to start building a relationship!

I didn’t try to recruit them right away, cause that’s what everybody else did and was the fastest way to get ghosted.

I just wanted to connect & build a relationship as I continued to grow my list!

And on auto-pilot, they would receive an offer to buy a product they might find useful for their needs today after joining my list and through email follow up.

So after going through some training, I got my system setup and I wrote a short ad which I placed on Google with a $10 per day budget and waited.

I went to sleep that night not sure if this would work.

The next morning, I woke up to my email inbox with one message that said the following:

“You have a new bootcamp taker!”

My first lead! I immediately reached out and sent him an email!

A couple of days later, I got 3 leads!

And one of those leads bought a retail product through me too!

I reached out to every single lead, especially the buyers, and got curious about what was happening in their world and how their business building was going.

And my network started growing from there…

Eventually, my email list grew into the hundreds… then the thousands….

And my income went from a few hundred dollars per month, to $1,000 per month and so on...

It was unbelievable, for every dollar I invested in advertising, I made $2 or $3 back!

It was a MAGIC SLOT MACHINE!

Even though I was paying for ads, I was making my money back and was growing my list... my audience... my brand.

Getting PAID to GROW IT!

After I learned this, I never went back to cold prospecting ever again!

People were coming to me… almost like PASSIVE PROSPECTING!

Eventually, this all resulted in me getting paid 6-figures to grow my brand - a NEW WARM MARKET - by retailing products, before anyone joined my business!

It’s almost like they were paying me to prospect them.
That was the first system I ever learned to deploy.

What I loved is that it was “scalable”, meaning I could effortlessly grow the audience at the rate I wanted by just spending more on ads, without worry because I was easily making $2-$3 dollars back for every dollar spent.

But that wasn’t gonna grow my MLM business, but it was nice to have the cash flow and have a NEW WARM MARKET of prospects to tap into who had literally given me their private contact info, like this:

But the KEY was in my personal convos with my prospects, I always focused on building a relationship and getting to know them!

I actually DID NOT try to recruit them in any 1 on 1 convos…

Enter the CPS Enrollment System

I had joined a new company and my mentor shared with me the design for a new type of system he had been working on.

This system was designed to invite people to opt in to learn more about joining my team.

They knew exactly what they were registering for!

No tricking people into attending opportunity meetings. They were willingly raising their hand on their own, saying “Yes! Show me your opportunity!”

And because of the value they had gotten from me already from the valuable daily emails via the other system, there was a massive KNOW, LIKE & TRUST factor!

It was just a matter of whether they were looking to start a new business.

If they didn’t have a need, they didn’t optin but our relationship continued & my rolodex continued to grow and I got paid to to grow it!

If they were looking or something had changed with their situation later, they would opt in, get full details about my business and submit an application to join my team!

To avoid wasting my time with tire kickers & non-serious people, my enrollment system required a $50 application fee for anyone who wanted to join my team.

That’s right… I charged a $50 application fee to just apply to work with me and get interviewed.

It was pretty hardcore, I would not recommend it today but it worked!

I would send an email once or twice per month to my audience and people would apply!

My team started to grow, I was making between $5k - $10k per month and dealing with absolutely ZERO drama. Everyone I talked to was serious about growing a business.

As my business was starting to approach 6-figures per year, something unexpected happened…

My Systems Started to ‘Passively Prospect’ in an Unexpected Way

Two very well known 7-figure earners emailed me and told me they were interested in joining my team.

“OMG! OMG! OMG!”

They saw what I was doing with my systems… they were impressed and wanted to learn more about joining my team!

From their perspective, they had a choice of trying to recreate what I had with another company or they could join me and just plug in.

Just the very existence of what I had created had “PASSIVELY PROSPECTED” them, cause they saw the potential for themselves.

What company I was in wasn’t even that important to them, although they liked the opportunity as well!

They asked to join me on the spot and I calmly said “Sure. Let’s do it!”

I plugged them into my systems and these leaders quickly catapulted my passive income to $25k per month in network marketing, even after I stopped actively building.

I already knew how powerful building a BRAND actually was, how critical growing an EMAIL LIST, how important it was to SCALE IT and how critical SYSTEMS were for giving me all this leverage.

But I had no idea these leaders and others were watching me, and that…
