Hey everyone, my name is ___ and today I'm going to share with you how you can cause more curiosity, connections, and conversations by using three super-effective types of social media posts.

If you’re struggling to gain traction, or just looking for that “special sauce” to boost your Facebook engagement and results, these types of posts can help kick start your business.
Believe me, I struggled before I figured this out…
{Insert anecdote about struggling, e.g.: "I used to get angry messages..." or, "No one ever commented on or liked my posts about my business..."}
{Next, deliver your content.}
Okay, here are the three types of posts we’ll talk about today…
1. “Relationship” posts are posts that give people an idea of who you are.
2. “Insider Secrets” posts are posts that share tips and trainings to help your ideal prospects grow.
3. “Support” posts are posts that offer free training and create a sense of community.
You have two choices in how you can approach these posts.
Approach #1: lead with questions.
Questions naturally build curiosity as they get the audience to think about an answer.
Used in a relationship post, it can look like this…
● “What are some of the positives you see in network marketing? Mine are in the comments.”
Relationship posts are all about building that connection between you and your audience.
Not only are you giving your audience a chance to express themselves, you’re driving curiosity in those who want to know your thoughts on network marketing.
The next example are insider secrets posts...
● “If I were to do a live training on whether intermittent fasting is actually healthy, would that help you? Drop into the comments and I’ll connect with you.”
Not only should you be building connections with your audience, you should also be providing value to them.
Feel free to ask them what they would want to see. That can help you give them what they want.
The final questions-based posts are support posts…
● “What’s more valuable for you to learn right now...
○ How to set up a daily routine that works?
○ How to avoid gaining 20 Ibs during quarantine?
○ How to homeschool your kids, keep your house in order, and run a business without going crazy!?”
As you build connections with your audience, you learn the pains and struggles they deal with on a daily basis.
A major part of building curiosity, connections, and conversations comes from building a supportive community around these problems.
Approach #2: fill-in-the-blank
Here, the audience gets the chance to personalize their response meaning it can build a connection, especially with the people who didn’t answer the question.
First, let’s look at the relationship post…
● “What’s more important to me right now is ___________.”
Here, you can build a connection with your audience AND learn how you can give them the thing they want.
By being an open-ended response, your audience can put anything in the blank. You can then use their response to tailor your other posts to make sure you’re giving your audience what they want.
Next, we have the insider secrets posts…
● “________ is the most effective way to lose weight (mine is in the comments).”
The fill-in-the-blank method engages your audience and keeps them interested by letting them insert what they know into the conversation.
Of course, you’ll need to be able to speak to what their response is to keep the conversation going.
Finally, we have the support post…
● “My favorite way for staying connected to other people right now _________.”
Here, you can even more directly engage with your audience.
You can ask them how they are coping with the problems they have and how they manage to stay in touch even at a distance.
{Recap what you just taught and reinforce the benefit}
By building curiosity, connections, and conversations, you can take your social media posts to the next level by creating quick rapport and lasting relationships between you and your audience!

Hey everyone, my name is _______ and today I'm going to share with you THREE major problems I’ve been seeing in responses on social media posts and in Facebook Messenger replies that completely evaporate all interest and results.
And, of course, I’ll also share how to avoid making these simple mistakes.
{Remember to engage your viewers! Welcome people as they join. Next, set expectations and deliver a benefit-driven promise.}
If you’ve ever replied or sent messages thinking they were the best you could create and would attract prospects eager to learn more, but only got crickets as a response with no engagement, you might just have committed one of three common mistakes.
These are easy-to-make mistakes and believe me, we’ve all been there… {Insert anecdote}
So, these three mistakes are:
1) Oversharing Syndrome: This is telling too much about your product, service, or opportunity too quickly. It’s information overload.
2) Decision Fatigue: This is either asking too many questions with too few answers or sending people right over to your website to make buying decisions.
3) Lack of Incentive: There is no reason for your prospects to interact with you any further.
{Mistake #1.}
So, first is Oversharing Syndrome…
{Give a personal example of a time you shared too much too quickly that drove off prospects.}
The common mindset that leads to this mistake is...
● “I want to tell them EVERYTHING I know to get the immediate ‘YES, I want to buy.’”
You might overload your original post with way too much information that bogs down the reader, irritates them, or simply kills any desire in them to learn more.
You’ve shared so much with them upfront, there’s no incentive for them to stay engaged and ask questions.
Or, you might seize the opportunity of someone replying to your message to overload them with information in your reply to them.
Again, same results.
What you want to do to avoid this mistake is to ask yourself these questions…
1. Who is this for?
2. What are the basics they need to know to help solve their problems?
3. What can I ask to cause them to feel connected and open to sharing more?
4. Do I have information or a story to share that is relatable based on what my prospect needs?
It’s for the people who will read your post and comment or otherwise engage with it. Avoid boilerplate response and personalize responses. You’ll want to interact with people and learn what they want and need.
You should approach your posts and replies on social media not as “what they can do for you” but rather “how can I best engage with this person and learn what they want and need and how my product, service, or opportunity can help them.”
This means personalizing your messages, using the person’s actual name as opposed to boilerplate placeholder nouns like “hun,” “girl,” “bro,” and so on.
This means sharing with them only what they need to know to help solve their problems, not every single thing about your business.
You need to be genuine in your questions, asking from an authentic position what they need or want, and being truthful to how you can help them.
And then, and this is secondary, if you have a story that is relatable to their situation, you can share it and hope to build a closer relationship with them.
In short: be concise, be inquisitive, be genuine.
So, how would you start a conversation with the goals above in mind?
Here are some conversation starter examples to help you get people to open up in your replies or on Messenger…
● “Oh that’s interesting! What do you mean by that? I’m curious.”
● “What inspired you to connect/reach out?”
● “Oh wow! Tell me more!”
{Mistake #2.}
The next mistake I see a lot is decision fatigue.
Asking too many questions up front can give your prospects decision fatigue.
It’s that feeling of anxiety when presented with too many options or too many open-ended questions.
You aren’t giving your prospects a clear road through the sales process. Instead, fog has clouded the path and threatens to scare prospects away.
Or, it’s sending your prospects away from your social media page to your website letting them make their own decisions.
Sending prospects to the site where you make actual sales isn’t bad in and of itself. It’s an important step in the sales process, the equivalent of checking out at the register or signing the contract.
However, pushing prospects to your site too soon may give them too many decisions, and the prospect has no control.
They have no ability for them to engage with you to learn more.
To avoid this mistake, you’ll want to keep control of the conversation and keep the prospect moving along one direction in the sales process.
This doesn’t mean to restrict your prospect. Rather, you need to adapt your sales process to fit the needs of your prospects as you learn them by LISTENING to them.
A reply that follows this would be…
● “Based on what you shared, I’ve been doing something that’s really helped me with _______, and I’d love to share what’s worked for me and what hasn’t. It’s hard to break down over Messenger (I know I’m super visual so I need to see everything lol). Would you be open to seeing what’s been effective to help me with ______ over a Zoom chat? It’ll only take ______ minutes.”
{Mistake #3.}
The final mistake is having a lack of incentive to SPRINT.
If people were initially engaged with you but then stopped, or you’re just getting crickets after replying, then you might have not given your prospects a reason to engage further.
You’ll want to ask yourself this question…
“What’s going to cause your prospect to move fast?”
The common answers are…
● Deadlines: “There’s something special that ends on Friday at midnight that works with your problem to _____.”
● Forced Choices: “I’ve got 4 pm and 7 pm open. Which one works best?”
● Support: “I’d love to support you and share what’s worked for me. What time works best today? I’ve got 4 pm EST and 7 pm EST open.”
● Limited Quantity: “There’s only 5 spaces available for my color match consultations.”
These can help you create the urgency needed to compel your prospects to act.
The truth is…
One of the best incentives you can offer out to transition a conversation isn’t your products…
It’s more time with you, support and making it look like you care!
However, you also respect your own time.
Rather than offering up all day for talks with prospects, you limit their choices between a few hours you’re available.
Or giving them a limited number of appointment slots that are first come, first served.
{Now, recap what you just taught and reinforce the benefit}
By giving only the information prospects want, guiding them through the sales process, and compelling them to action, you can avoid these three mistakes in social media marketing and create lasting relationships that keep prospects engaged with your content!
